Thee Big Mouse/Mr Big Mouse – Boracay, Music And Art – WTF Is All This Bollards?
Right you could well be wondering just that, please allow me to exasperate on that.
Hi I’m Chris Cuthbert and I’m trying to be clever and or funny. That’s what this blog is about funny, also art and music, we would want to incorporate. I’m on Soundcloud HERE
Yes humorous writing. Errors in spelling and grammar come with the territory.
I’m educated, I went to college and university, although I have some fairly serious problems concentrating. I didn’t really enjoy studying and didn’t finish at university. I did the first year and a bit of the second of a 2 year HND in multimedia IT. Just enough to get a higher education certificate.
My dad was British and came from Bristol and was born in 1924. Ever since I existed, he worked for the government doing secret stuff; that allowed him to do a fair bit of travelling around the world during his life. I have two half brothers and two half sisters and a whole sister who is the youngest of us. My mum was born in 1942 and she is from the Philippines but is a quarter Spanish on her mum’s side.
WWI, I Hope There Is A Heaven
Dad lived in Malta, Hong Kong, Cyprus, Scarborough and I’m not sure what else. His father, my grandfather, was a soldier in WWI. He was badly injured but as they say, very lucky to come back home at all. My dad and his dad lived in The Castle Hotel in Ross-On-Wye (owned by my great-grandfather) for a spell. Before 1937 because that was when my grandfather died mysteriously (to me at least). William Valentine Cuthbert, my grandfather, was born 1895. William Valentine was awarded the silver war badge, that is for soldiers discharged from duty due to injury.
My dad was also in the RAF when he was a young man. I have another relative, also a William Cuthbert, but a Corporal who was in WWI. He was on the machine gun corps and died of wounds, killed in action. Gloucestershire regiment I think, unfortunately never returned home I’m afraid. I think he is a great-uncle of mine or some kind of cousin. My great great grandparents would be his grandparents.
The front, hey who bloody needs it, I see it like a wild crazy party. Where it would have been a far better idea to avoid it and stay home, and get an early night.
In light of my families involvement in the services, I often take a strong militaristic attitude to everything. People included, you can hear it in my music and the way i address you, like I’m a high-ranking military person. Ultimately it’s usually pretty much tongue in cheek but funny if other people take it seriously. Or is it that many a true word is spoken in jest? Maybe it’s just a chip on my shoulder and I feel like the world owes me a lot? Who knows.
My great-grandfather, Walter Ernest Cuthbert, was the proprietor of a “high-class” restaurant in Bristol centre; next to the hippodrome. So I discovered, for 37 years and it was taken over by my grandfather’s younger brother; oooh a good while ago now.
About This Blog
What I’m attempting to do here pretty much is to create some text to make the reader feel good. The problem is not all people feel good about the same things. For instance girls often don’t like football, if it makes you feel any better; I also am not horrifically fussed about football. Yeah football has its place in this world though and is crucial.
I’m a creator of music, either ambient or very ambient. Or what has been referred to as Psychedelic Blues and Rock’n’Roll. A quantity of this is free to download here http://www.theebigmouse.com/free-mp3s/
I’m interested in photography and digital abstract art, photo shopping stuff. I make an effort to endeavor to create that sort of shizzz. So frequently the reader will encounter some of this here and there. Quite the little artist.
Film making I’m also interested in, obviously we aren’t going to come up with the highest grossing movie, in the entire history of the world. Have a billion dollar budget and feature Leonardo DiCaprio as the leading actor. We can always mess around on Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas, which is what I’m talking about. “It needs some work but we have plenty of time.” I was introduced to this whilst a student at university, they had 3D S MAX and Premiere installed up there and I got free student copies of these and some other shit like that.
Funny writing, something useful or useless but humorous. That’s what you need us to give you here. To send shivers down people’s spines is our goal. If we don’t achieve that then, so what no need to worry. If I feel I’m doing something creative or productive, the whole day has been worth while. It’s what the people want, what the people need.
When I was at college, I wrote an essay and some plank switched off the PC I was crafting it on. Well back in those days my knowledge of IT was not so advanced and i believed my work has been lost forever. So this arsehole who’s name I forget now, just booted up my PC and stole my entire essay and put his name on it. Passed it off as his own work and passed, of course I failed. This lad I’m talking about additionally threatened me with this great big knife and held it up to my neck. Cannot remember what he said, anyway I just let it go, let it slip. Feeling safe in the hands of karma, hands of karma hands of chaos whatever. MORAL OF THAT LITTLE STORY – Always put your name on your work, you never know if someone will steal it and pass it off as their work.
My mum is from a small island in the Philippines, I have lots of relatives there. Oh but that’s a different story all together.
